The Consortium for Development Policy Research (CDPR) held a candid conversation with Mr. Masood Ahmed (President, Centre for Global Development) and Dr. Ijaz Nabi (Country Director, International Growth Centre (IGC) on 1st of October 2023. The conversation focused on a number of important issues pertaining to the current state of the world with respect to global economic progress and development finance, more specifically climate finance.

It was a closed event attended by experts from the development sector, academia, and the private sector. The conversation focused on three challenges affecting Pakistan: firstly, Pakistan’s productivity challenge and ways to boost it. Secondly, developmental issues that can stunt Pakistan’s growth such as extreme poverty and lack of women’s education. Lastly, prioritizing climate change and focusing on climate finance.
