The Consortium for Development Policy Research (CDPR) and International Growth Centre (IGC) in collaboration with the World Bank, hosted a session of the Lahore Policy Exchange on Going Green: Pakistan’s Energy Transition. The session was held on Friday, 5th July 2024.
The session focused on the nexus between climate change and the energy sector in Pakistan and explore practical solutions to the challenges this presents. The discussion examined, i) the core issues on how to make the sector more fiscally sustainable, while providing reliable and affordable energy to citizens and ii) how to support the greening of Pakistan’s energy sector i.e. the transition towards renewable energy.
