Launching Dr. Nadeem ul Haque’s book, “Looking Back: How Pakistan Became an Asian Tiger by 2050”

Consortium for Development Policy Research (CDPR) hosted its twenty-fifth Lahore Policy Exchange talk by launching Dr. Nadeem ul Haque’s (Former Deputy Chairman, Planning Commission of Pakistan and Trade Policy Advisor to the Minister of Commerce, Government of Pakistan) new book. The book takes the reader to the year 2050, by which time Pakistan has graduated to a high-income country. The author hypothesizes how a certain combination of institutional and economic interventions in the present can significantly change the trajectory of the country for the better, in terms of both equitable development and global attractiveness.

The panel discussing the book comprised:

Dr. Ali Cheema moderated the session, while the author, Dr. Nadeem-ul-Haque answered questions from the panelists and the audience.
