What We Do

The Consortium for Development Policy Research (CDPR) is a Pakistan based research and dissemination organization supported by the International Growth Center (IGC).  CDPR regularly partners with local universities and research institutes for its research and dissemination activities which include: Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS), Lahore School of Economics (LSE), Mahbub ul Haq Research Centre (MHRC), Center for Economic Research in Pakistan (CERP) and Institute of Development and Economic Alternatives (IDEAS).  CDPR aims to generate public discourse on key policy issues through cutting edge research and policy analysis. It is able to tap into a global network of economists and academics involved in policymaking at the highest level.

What differentiates us?
Firstly, through evidence-based research, CDPR effectively links policymaking to academia and area specialists with rich national and international policy experience. Secondly, by providing support along each step of policymaking, CDPR brings policymakers and researchers on a common platform. Lastly through engagement with a wide range of stakeholders, it contributes to the public debate on key policy issues and promotes research and policy ownership and uptake. We ensure that all our outputs are time and cost effective, and subjected to vigorous quality control.
