Second International Conference on Applied Development Economics

The second Applied Development Economics (ADE) conference was jointly organized by Consortium for  Development Policy Research (CDPR) and the International Growth Centre (IGC) in partnership with The Centre for Research in Economics and Business (CREB) at the Lahore School of Economics on the 4th and 5th of September, 2019. The conference was held to highlight recent research from developing countries focusing on economic development and poverty alleviation.

The purpose of the ADE conference was three-fold: one, it provided early career researchers the opportunity to obtain feedback on their on-going work; two, it  highlighted recent research that can have lasting policy impact for sustainable growth in the developing world; and three, to start a mutually beneficial exchange of ideas and discussions amongst researchers on potential collaborations. Session themes were broadly envisioned to include Governance (and delivery of public services), Firms, Labor Market, Education, Health and Poverty Reduction, with a special focus on Gender and environment.
