Salman Zaidi is a Practice Manager in the Poverty and Equity Global Practice of the World Bank covering the East Asia and Pacific Region. During his 19-year career at the World Bank, he has also worked in the South Asia and Europe and Central Asia regions, most recently as the Lead Economist for Bangladesh and Nepal, and earlier as the Lead Economist for Tajikistan and Turkmenistan. Prior to joining the World Bank, Salman worked as a Research Associate at the London School of Economics, and for the Aga Khan Rural Support Program in Pakistan.
He holds B.A. in Economics from Yale University and an M. Phil in Economics from Nuffield College, Oxford University.
