Pakistan’s Macroeconomic Prospects and Debt Situation

The Finance for Development Lab (FDL) and the Consortium for Development Policy Research (CDPR) collaborated on a series of research papers on the macroeconomic situation of Pakistan, with the objective to shape a possible IMF program.

The goal was to publish and disseminate three studies on Pakistan, with three different angles:

  1. The role of concessionary finance in Pakistan, with Dr. Farrukh Iqbal and Dr; Ijaz Nabi as authors
  2. The Dutch Disease in Pakistan, with Saqib Jaffery (Econmics Professor, City University, London) and Ijaz Nabi as authors
  3. Debt sustainability & IMF, with Dr. Riaz Riazuddin, Dr Sajjad Zaheer as authors, advised by Dr Aasim Husain.

This project is funded by the Paris School of Economics.
